ERA Fit’s Personal Training Process
One of the important questions you should be asking any personal training is what their system for attaining your goals is. Every trainer should have a process, and if they do not, you must be prepared for a training that lacks any sense of direction, feels confusing and is a waste of time and money.
There are a few different approaches you can take to the training process depending on what results you want. This is why ERAFit follows the Body Type Training process and A.C.E model.
Body Type Training: How does it work?
Explained in short, Body Type Training means that our training, nutrition, lifestyle coaching, goals and specific workouts are all created specifically according to your needs. Your natural body type, lifestyle and mental needs are all taken into account when designing your programme.
Traditional methods of measuring health, such as BMI, have been understood for a while to have little bearing on reality: it does not take into account your muscle mass, bone mass or general body shape, and while someone may have an “overweight” reading, they may be totally healthy.
This is why ERAfit, a Miami-based personal trainer, will assess your programme according to your actual body type. With a BA in exercise science, 12 years of experience, 19 certifications in exercise science and having clocked 12,000 hours in personal coaching, his assessment will come from a place of expertise.
A.C.E: Analyse, Customize and Execute.
Once we have ascertained the type of training most appropriate for your body, and the kinds of goals which are the most realistic and sustainable for you as an individual, we can move into our ACE system. This stands for “analyse”, “customize” and “execute”.
In the analysis phase, we will look at what your needs may be. For example, we may see that you have an already pretty decent fat percentage, but that your muscles could do with developing a little. This brings us cleanly to the next phase.
In the customize phase, we will adapt my programme based on our findings. For example, if it was that you needed to gain more muscle, and not lose fat, we will give you more strength-building exercise and combine those with a meal plan geared towards muscle forming, rather than fat loss.
In the execution phase, we begin to put these plans into action. Whether they are dietary, exercise or lifestyle based, Eric will give you the advice and guidance you need to begin.
The plan will be re-analysed every two weeks, with regards to your feelings, success, achievements and difficulty level. It will then be re-customised, and re-executed.
As you can see, ERAfit’s personal training process is extremely dynamic and person-centred. He will always work with you to help you reach your fullest potential and achieve the most that you can.
