Want to hear a funny story?
I’m about to tell you how to burn fat, have more energy, get pregnant, have spectacular sperm, and last longer in the bedroom.
I PROMISE YOU – THIS IS NOT GIMMICKY.
I just got off the phone yesterday with one of my mentors who helps my company with doing all sorts of blood, urine, and hair analysis for myself and my clients; his name is Mark Schauss.
The type of tests he runs through his company, Lab Interpretations Inc., include food sensitivity, heavy metal toxcicty, hormone panels, organic acids testing, standard blood work, etc.
First thing he tells me in our annual check up is, “Eric, want to hear a funny story?”
Mark: “I was recently hired by a University to look into a high prevalence of erectile dysfunction in their students”
Me: (Interrupting him) Hold up! 20 year old kids can’t get it up?!
Mark: Yup, so here’s the deal. I ran all of the tests that I thought were pertinent to the situation on a large sample of kids that were experiencing the problem and it took me LESS THAN A DAY to figure out the answer.
For some reason there was an EXCESSIVE use of Axe Body Spray being used by the student body.
Me: (laughing at the irony of the situation before he can finish)
Mark: So they attract hoards of women (like the commercials where a guy is on the beach getting bum rushed by every woman on the planet) with their intoxicating musk but then can’t deliver the goods once they’re ready to close the deal!
Now you may be wondering, what the heck is the correlation?
Let me make it simple…
Most fragrances use phthalates. Axe Body Spray uses A LOT OF PHTHTALATES.
Phthalates are linked to problems that include ADD, breast cancer, autism, birth defects, Type 2 Diabetes, AND LOW TESTOSTERONE. (Plus, other issues).
To a large degree, anything in modern society that you smell that isn’t fresh rose blooming in the middle of a grassy knoll located in the nether regions of the world away from all things man made (or, something equivalent) is screwing with your biochemistry.
Slightly hyperbolic? Yes. But you get my drift.
That being said, I was happy to see that the phthalates in my body had gone WAY down over the past couple years after I realized I needed to make some adjustments to my lifestyle.
This is just one of MANY chemicals that we discussed that can have serious health affects if there’s prolonged exposure but I want to focus on Phthalates here because I think it is one of the easiest things to avoid.
So, what do you need to do to make sure that you avoid list of the potentially disastrous ailments listed about?
Here’s my quick list:
1. Look up all household cleaning products you use on ewg.org and choose ones that are the least toxic
2. Look up all the cosmetics you use on ewg.org and choose ones that are the least toxic
3. Look up all the body products you use on ewg.org. Choose the ones that are the least toxic.
4. STOP using perfumes, air fresheners, and cologne. Don’t be stupid, stop using them. Or, use them VERY Sparingly.
BEFORE YOU GO, LET ME WARN YOU…
This shit is serious.
Most people are not proactive with their health but this is a place where you need to be.
Most people so dearly love their air fresheners, perfumes, body products, etc. that they don’t care, or think that these chemicals don’t affect them.
Until they have a miscarriage…
Until they they can’t get it up…
Until they can’t get pregnant…
Until they can’t lose the amount of weight that they want…
Until they don’t have enough energy to get through the day…
KNOW that this is real, KNOW that you should make some changes.
